The main trade-off
The makers publish different clearance instructions, while the models offer different named preset menus and documented basket-care steps.
Quick verdict
Neither is a universal fit winner. Compare each manual's clearance directions with your actual counter first, then choose between Chefman's four-preset and dishwasher-safe basket/rack workflow and BELLA's six named presets and manual-described basket/crisping-tray washing steps.
Choose Chefman TurboFry Touch 4-Quart Digital Air Fryer (RJ38-4T-BLACK) if
- Your spot can provide Chefman's stated top-and-back clearance and you prefer its four-preset interface and documented dishwasher-safe basket/rack care.
Choose BELLA 4qt Slim Air Fryer, Oatmilk (35100) if
- BELLA's stated clearance directions fit your spot and its six named programs and manual-described basket/crisping-tray washing steps better match your routine.
When the recommendation changes
- The available counter or overhead clearance does not meet the selected model's manual instructions.
- Your preferred preset tasks or basket-care routine differ from the assumptions above.
The differences that matter
| Decision point | Chefman TurboFry Touch 4-Quart Digital Air Fryer (RJ38-4T-BLACK) | BELLA 4qt Slim Air Fryer, Oatmilk (35100) |
|---|---|---|
| Counter Clearance And Orientation | The RJ38-4T series guide calls for at least 6 inches of clearance on top and behind the fryer for airflow.[2] | The 35100-family manual says keep the fryer at least 4 inches from walls or other objects while it operates.[4] |
What this changes: Check the instructions against the actual counter, overhead space and surrounding objects before choosing. These are different stated clearance directions, not a matched footprint test or proof that one fryer fits a smaller counter.[2, 4] The better fit depends on your priorities | ||
| Preset Control And Basket Care Workflow | Chefman lists four presets and manual time/temperature adjustment; its product page says the basket and rack are dishwasher safe.[1, 2] | BELLA lists six named presets—air fry, bake, roast, broil, dehydrate and reheat—and its manual describes manual time/temperature changes; the manual directs users to wash the basket and crisping tray in hot soapy water and wipe the body with a damp cloth. This describes the listed care steps; it does not establish whether dishwasher use is allowed.[3, 4] |
What this changes: Choose by which labeled programs match your routine and whether the documented basket-care steps suit you; preset count does not establish cooking results, and no comparative cleanup test was performed.[1, 2, 3, 4] The better fit depends on your priorities | ||
Value and trade-offs
One or both observed offers have eligibility conditions, so no unrestricted price difference is shown.
A price premium, if present in the current offer, should be weighed against the buyer's clearance, program-selection and care preferences; no stable price threshold is established here.
Price history was not assessed in this comparison; there is not enough history here for a buy-now or wait recommendation.
Limitations
- This comparison uses published setup and control/care information, not cooking, crispness, speed, noise, energy, coating-safety, food-safety, durability or cleanup-performance testing.
- Chefman publishes three dimension values without labeling their axes; they are not used to rank countertop footprint. BELLA publishes labeled exterior dimensions, but no comparable labeled Chefman dimensions were found.
- The BELLA Oatmilk 4qt Slim product page does not print model 35100, while its official manual names the 35100 model family and related variants. Before buying, check that the selected listing or package identifies model 35100.
- The preset names and count describe menu choices only; they do not show that either appliance cooks a task better.
- Current prices and longer price history were not evaluated.
- The retailer's delivery and stock details can change; they are not part of this article's recommendation.
Methodology and sources
Compared the operating clearances each manufacturer documents and the labeled preset and basket-care workflows. No cooking or cleanup performance was tested, and no footprint winner was inferred from the unlabeled Chefman dimensions.
Automation helped organize the source-backed comparison; no hands-on product testing was conducted.
